25 years of speeding through.

It felt like last week when I played the very first game of Sonic on my old SEGA Genesis in my bedroom.

I have been a fan of the Sonic the Hedgehog games for over two decades. And here I am, only 20 years old and waiting for what SEGA will show for the Blue Blur. I have seen a lot of changes for the hedgehog; some good and some bad. The only honest disappointment I can share is... I wish Sonic 4 can continue. It had potential...

I know very well of the bad Sonic games. But I didn't rage about them. I was disappointed. Sonic '06 had some effort, but it was rushed. Sonic and the Secret Rings could've do without the motion controls. Sonic Riders should've stick with one game. And Sonic Boom... let's just hope the second 3DS game will be better.

I also tried out the mobile games. They're okay. But they weren't something I would waste memory on my iPod or cell phone.

What I can say now is, SEGA was experiencing financial troubles and the future generations pressured them with the new technology. They just tried out new things and they did okay. Sonic may not end very soon. He'll still be speeding over hills, collecting golden rings, and gathering the Chaos Emeralds. We just need to be patient. And be more courteous.
